ABOUT PORNOSTAR

Chocolate Remix releases Pornostar, a new single and video that is the first hot preview of her upcoming album. It's a perreo-style reggaeton track on which the singer delivers a catchy, witty and sexual chant that encourages erotic empowerment.

“Pornostar speaks of a very strong connection with our own eroticism and the video explores some of the possibilities that virtuality and technological devices offer us to express and share our desires, fetishes and sexual fantasies to the fullest. Society tends to cast expectations on people, and the sexual world is no exception. Many times, in order to fit in, we set aside and silence some aspects of ourselves that would make us shine, like a (porno) star, if we could express them.”

This dark and clubby perreo is entirely self-produced by the artist, who besides being a singer and songwriter, creates beats and songs in an integrated manner. Although she has composed numerous tracks with other producers (such as the renowned DT. Bilardo, promoter of cumbia 420; multi-grammy winner Ulises Lozano a.k.a. El Licenciado, based in Los Angeles; Baja Frequencia duo, signed to the Marseille label Chinese Man Records; and a new soon-to-be-released song with percussion group La Bomba de Tiempo, among other collaborations that will come out this year) the artist is expanding her expressive possibilities through her versatility to work as a group or alone, making the most of her different facets.

Chocolate Remix is the reggaeton and Latin rap solo project of Argentine rapper and producer Romina Bernardo, aka Choco. It was born with the intention of vindicating a genre historically known for its sexist content, from a queer-feminist perspective. Her approach takes advantage of the strong sexual content inherent in this musical style, and reconstructs it by addressing taboo topics about women and queer people's sexuality. Although mostly fun and playful, her lyrics provide original points of view and sharp criticisms. Since the beginning, she has denounced with her songs various issues that frequently affect women and LGBTIQ+ people, such as discrimination, censorship or violence. She was chosen by the BBC as one of the 100 most influential women in the world in its 2017 annual chart, just months after releasing her first album. Chocolate Remix has released two studio albums, “Sátira” and “Pajuerana”, as well as several singles and collaborative works with other artists, such as the newly premiered EP “Vente Cariña” with Mexican rapper Niña Dioz.

The artist has performed on various stages in Argentina, Germany, Austria, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Spain, USA, France, England, Italy, Mexico, Portugal and Switzerland such as Fusion Festival, Womex, Off the Radar, Wützrock, Closing of the Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina's LGBTIQ+ Pride, Closing of the National Meeting of Women of Argentina, CCK, Reeperbahn Festival, Tecnópolis, Matadero Madrid, Haus der Kulturen der Welt and S036.

EUROTOUR 2023

During June and September of this year she will make her ninth tour of Europe. She already has more than 20 concerts booked at festivals and venues in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, UK and Switzerland, and many more yet to be confirmed.
